Swedish equity fund

An equity fund that primarily invests in Swedish listed companies. Amos Value is a Swedish equity fund with a mandate to hold at least 80 percent in Sweden.

What it is

Concentrated exposure to Sweden

A Swedish equity fund is an equity fund whose mandate requires the majority of capital to be invested in Swedish companies listed on Swedish exchanges, primarily Nasdaq Stockholm. Sweden is a small but open economy with an unusually high proportion of globally active companies. The Stockholm Stock Exchange contains everything from export-heavy industrial conglomerates to global gaming companies and innovative tech firms. That makes Swedish equities a more global investment than the country's size would suggest.

Nasdaq Stockholm
Amos Value invests in companies listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and related trading venues. The universe covers everything from large cap to smaller companies.
Globally active companies
Many Swedish companies generate the majority of their revenues abroad. Owning a Swedish equity fund is not the same as betting solely on the Swedish economy.
At least 80 percent in Sweden
Amos Value's fund rules require at least 80 percent of fund assets to be invested in Swedish companies. The remainder may be invested in the broader Nordic region.

Benefits of a national focus

Deeper understanding, clearer mandate

A national focus enables deeper understanding of the companies being analysed. High reporting quality, strong corporate governance and good access to historical data make it possible to dig properly into a company without relying on presentations. The Swedish equity market is also well-regulated with high standards of transparency, which reduces governance risk. The Stockholm Stock Exchange has historically been one of the best-performing exchanges in the world measured in real terms over longer periods.

We hunt for quality, not hope.
